We will have enough free time to visit the ruins of the ancient city of Idyma, take a photo break on the lovers’ road, take a short boat tour and explore Akyaka and its beach. Throughout the entire tour, our friendly drivers will provide you with safe and comfortable transportation between tour destinations.
Your first stop is “Lovers’ Path”, where you can take beautiful photos and see love messages carved on trees. In 1936 they planted eucalyptus trees on both sides of the road to dry the walking areas and help fight malaria.
Akyaka River Cruise
Our next stop will be to learn more about the ruins of the ancient city of Idyma. There are rock tombs of six kings dating back to the Hellenistic period.
Our boat on the Azmak River is waiting for us to board. This impressive river resembles an aquarium inhabited by various animals. You may see turtles, flamingos, dragonflies, ducks and kingfishers, so have your camera ready! You can ask your guide anything you want to know about this area.
After our short boat trip, we will have free time. Akyaka is famous for its magnificent beaches and clear waters. There is a boulevard with various cafes, restaurants and handicraft souvenir shops. Wander around this charming and cozy village and admire the unique Muğla architecture. The balconies of two or three-storey houses are hexagonal and their doors and windows are wooden. You will have lunch at a nice restaurant in Yuvarlakçay. After lunch, there will be free time at Yuvarcay.
During our return trip to Marmaris, we will stop towards sunset to take some panoramic photos of Marmaris. You will return to your accommodation at approximately 17:30.
